Our beloved son had to fight for his life as a very young child. When he was just 2 years old, he was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme. A race against time began, and the doctors made an immediate decision to operate. Unfortunately, during the surgery, the brainstem and thalamus were damaged. Happy and active Elias fell into a coma. Every day, we stood by his hospital bed, stroked our child’s hair, and prayed for a miracle. We couldn’t believe that this was really happening.

After two months filled with uncertainty and fear for each passing day, a miracle happened! Elias woke up! However, we weren’t allowed to enjoy the good news for long. Our son regained consciousness but completely lost control over his body! He lay motionless, with his eyes closed—so tiny and defenseless. We knew he could hear us, but we couldn’t do anything to help him. We constantly thought about how terrified he must be, unable to see or move…

We were told there was nothing more that could be done and that we should leave him in a hospice. We felt an immense rage; we couldn’t abandon our beloved child! How could we leave him in such a state? We found a rehabilitation center in Spain that agreed to help Elias recover. He has spent the last five years there... Despite being given no chance of improvement, he is alive and developing each day, though differently from his peers. It’s no longer the darkness the doctors left him in after the surgery. Please, support our son in his fight for a better tomorrow. Only together we can help Elias live a normal life. Every donation is a step toward his health!
